Sara Q San Jose, CA   Larry Robbin   Oakland, CA yelp.com I have been using Fastprint for over twenty years.  I run a business that has used Fastprint to copy and ship thousands of training manuals and flyers and my wife uses them to print her monthly national newsletter.  They have also done her book of poetry.  We do all our copying at Fastprint so we are spending in excess of $15,000 a year there.  The combination of their quality, cost and customer service exceeds any other print place by a long shot.  They ship thousands of copies for me each year and they always arrive on time and done perfectly which is an amazing track record.  My wife's newsletter uses photos and sometimes the copies come out better than the originals becasuse of the care they take with the work.  The owner EB will go the extra mile and beyond to do your job.  He is so easy to work with and even when the place is very busy focuses on his conversation on your needs.  He could teach customer service to a lot of businesses.  They invest in state of the art equipment including a copier that can page number your materials.  Other places do it by hand and it looks like it.  Like many small businesses they can experience occasional employee turnover and the one bad review must have happened when some new employees took on the work.  But I've never had that problem.  I wish the person that had that experience had talked with EB and given them a chance to remedy the situation which I know would have happened.  I suggest people always let the owner of a business know about a problem before reviewing a place on Yelp. I travel all over the country and do business with all types of businesses and there are only a handful of places that I would recommend as highly as Fastprint.  Belive me my business and my wife's depend on quality copying and we would not be so loyal to this place if they didn't deserve it. Quality is good too. Even though there only open Monday through Friday, they consistently offered pickup dates sooner than the other guys.   I usually need stuff pretty fast because I wait until the last possible minute for, well, everything.  This last time, I had a last minute order for spiral bound full-color books.  They not only got it done early, but they decided that it would look better with a more expensive binding so they upgraded it for free.  After all that, I wasn't able to make it to Fast Print to pick up my order by 5 on Friday.  I was bummed because it meant I would have to get there first thing Monday before my flight.  On Saturday afternoon the guy called me and said that he had stopped in the store and he got worried when he saw that my books were still there.  He offered to stay there until I came to pick it up! The only downside of Fast Print is that they aren't open on the weekend (but I'm not subtracting any stars because they work hard on Fridays!). I had to order business cards for my employer recently and Fastprint was amazing. We were helped by EB and he  went above and beyond the customer service of the larger print shops and even helped us clean up our graphics. Even with all this help, they had a faster turn around and the price of the order still came out a good 30% below the prices quoted from the other print shops-- many of them who base their reputation on their low prices. While I encourage the use of green printing when ever possible, fast print is a great resource for those who need inexpensive, fast, & friendly printing.
